Что такое EAC.APE.CUE?

EAC - значит, что для получения образа диска использовалась "правильная" программа - Exact Audio Copy. Она лучше всех справляется с обработкой царапин на дисках и поддерживает коррекцию смещения (все приводы считывают аудиоданные со сдвигом, он разный для каждого привода). Например, при считывании болванки в нормальном состоянии и на новом приводе с помощью Easy CDDA Extractor (весь диск в один файл) были получены разные файлы (различия были в конце диска - несколько миллисекунд, и это на болванке без царапин) APE - это формат беспотерьного сжатия (в отличие от mp3),
т.е. если сжать .wav, а потом .ape распаковать, то получим первоначальный .wav. CUE - значит диск считан в один файл, а не порезан на куски.
Файл с расширением .cue содержит информацию для разбивки, в т.ч. названия дорожек. Здесь описано получение точной копии AudioCD:

The influence of R&B on the Beatles was undoubtedly profound — consider their covers of the Isley Brothers' "Twist & Shout," the Marvelettes' "Please Mr. Postman," and the Cookies' "Chains." But inspiration ran far and deep in both directions, and while Motown relied on staff songwriters like Smokey Robinson, Barrett Strong, and Norman Whitfield for virtually all of its biggest chart hits, the label still managed its share of Beatles covers (not to mention borrowing liberally from the Fab Four's studio innovations). Motown Meets the Beatles is a fascinating compilation of album cuts and B-sides that aren't terribly well known — virtually every major Motown act covered a Beatles song sooner or later, and as such the disc offers a fairly comprehensive overview of the label's superstars operating in a far different mode than per usual. Unlike most of his albums from this period (which are mostly collections of singles), this was recorded in one session and takes him out of his usual big-band setting, using only bass, drums, and piano for accompaniment. The result is a masterpiece: a sparse, uncluttered sound with nothing to mask King's beautiful guitar and voice. "You Done Lost Your Good Thing Now" (its unaccompanied guitar intro is a pure distillation of his style), "Mr. Pawn Broker," "Someday Baby" (R&B Top Ten, 1961), "Walkin' Dr. Bill," and a great version of "Drivin' Wheel" are highlights. Billie Holiday (April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959) was an African-American vocalist, one of the greatest jazz-blues singers of all time, also known as Lady Day. Born Eleanora Fagan in Philadelphia, she spent an impoverished childhood in Baltimore before moving to New York City in the late 1920s, when she began singing in Harlem nightclubs. A recording session in 1935 brought her to public attention. Thereafter she was vocalist with various orchestras, including those of Count Basie and Artie Shaw, and made many recordings with the saxophonist Lester Young and with the pianist Teddy Wilson. Throughout the 1940s and '50s Holiday appeared in clubs around the U.S. with great success, although her voice increasingly showed the effects of her long-term heroin addiction. She died in Metropolitan Hospital, New York City, while under arrest for possession of illegal drugs. Buddy Guy & Junior Wells - Play the Blues (1972)

"Buddy Guy & Junior Wells Play The Blues" is one of the duo's very best albums. Two tracks are Junior Wells-less, recorded by Buddy Guy with the J. Geils Band; the remaining eight songs feature a star-studded backing band which includes pianist Dr. John on several tracks, and some guy named Eric someting. Capton, something like that. The song list is excellent, and so is the band, which sounds tight and supple, never threatening to overwhelm the two stars.
There are none of the erratic vocal performances or rambling solos that sometimes plagued the duo's live shows (this album is a studio recording). Junior Wells sizzles, laying down some great vocal performances. Buddy Guy's solos are controlled and disciplined, yet effective in both up-tempo and ballad situations, and saxist A.C. Reed provides some soulful fills and gritty solos. Among the highlights are a sizzling remake of T-Bone Walker's "T-Bone Shuffle", and a swinging "My Baby She Left Me".

This is my first experience hearing the work of the Italian four-piece collective known as Doctor Jazz's Universal Remedy, but I have heard all the former various interpretations and genres based around the electronic culture of neo (or pseudo)-electro-jazz. As I am listening to the album, I find myself constantly wondering "Why didn't they do this…or that….and why did they just leave it half-finished?" As the introduction to the album, MILT SHAKE opens with an obviously dub-and-loopy programming section featuring a trumpet sample that fills most of the track, and automatically puts me at unease. But, deep in the background of the track is some wonderful live vibraphone from Andrea Pala. At the point I begin to take in the vibraphone, I am introduced to the mostly-live saxophone takes of Dr. Blade; he wields his way through the song, playing (toying) with the ever-present annoying trumpet sample.
